In Taiwan, sustainable production systems have been implemented to continue producing coffee, a tradition passed down for over 100 years, stably for the next century.
At the Taiwan Sustainable Specialty Coffee Farm Award 2024, 10 farms recognized for their commitment to producing amazing coffee without burdening people or the environment were highlighted. Alongside these, Mr. Nakaji from COFFEE ROASTERY NAKAJI roasted coffee from a total of 13 farms, which we served to nearly 4,000 attendees over three days at our booth.
Mr. Kondo from KANON coffee farm (formerly of Itsuka Coffee), Mr. Nakaji from COFFEE ROASTERY NAKAJI, and Ms. Ryoko from Taipei joined us. We offered Taiwanese coffee cookies, Taiwanese sweets, Taiwanese tea, Taiwanese coffee drip bags, and of course, Taiwanese green coffee beans.
As a result, all three days were tremendously successful!
Each day began with a rush at 10:05, just five minutes after the 10:00 opening, and we couldn’t rest until the closing.
We also held a seminar by Mr. Krude Lin from the Taiwan Coffee Industry Strategy Alliance. It filled up faster than any other seminar.
We felt firsthand the growing interest and awareness of Taiwanese coffee, and it’s clear that the efforts of the past four years are bearing fruit.
